Makin Bread
Sir Kn8 the Knight of the New
MAKIN’ BREAD is intended to induce the listener to dance while turning raw ingredients into loaves of bread. Songs are about stuff, bread is the stuff of life, this song is about that stuff. It is part of a continuing series of music by Sir kN8 the Knight of the New that is based on recipes derived from the culinary obsessed Alicia Papanek (see also recipe “Six Pickles”).

MAKIN’ BREAD is a collaboration between SHOW AND SMELL RECORDINGS, a music-production collective, and RENAISSANCE BOY FILMS, a film-production collective.
The video was shot by Holden Boyles and Cody Updegrave of Renaissance Boy and conceived, produced, directed, and edited by Show and Smell members Nathan Dufour Oglesby (Sir kN8 the Knight of the New), Ryan Patrick Martin (SLOP WOP), and Alicia Papanek (Fair Lady AP). SLOP WOP & SIR kN8 can be found performing their goofy, danceable, beat-and-verse-driven song stylings at spots in Williamsburg, Bushwick and Ridgewood; they were recently written up in local music zine 1.21 Gigiwatts. Alicia Papanek is an artist, illustrator and designer; most recently her work was featured in an arts and literature compilation published by Papercut Press. The gents at Renaissance Boy are busy submitting the first chapter of their epic TORLO to film festivals.
