In 1997 indie rap super group Latyrx released the instant-classic "Lady Don’t Tek No." 19 years later, Lyrics Born released his greatest hits album and filmed a music video for the classic single. Filming a video 19 years later was a challenge. "Lady Don't Tek No" has been spinning for years and people all over the world have their own associations, memories and experiences with this song. We felt that the best way to communicate this song visually was through dance. Keep it simple and let the song move through you. That's the only direction dancer Halim Martinez needed to communicate how this song makes her feel. Filmed on location in Oakland California at Starline Social Club. Shot on a Canon C100MKII with a Zeiss Milvus 21mm and through a Hasselblad 501.

Mark has worked as a producer, director, and cinematographer on a range of projects including narrative and documentary feature films, branded entertainment, music videos, industrials and traditional television commercial spots. After attending film school in Los Angeles, Mark relocated to San Francisco in 2007. After receiving an MFA in film production, Mark co-founded the San Francisco based production company Maximum Flavor Media.
