Venezuelan director Kaina Dominguez’s passion for music videos started in 1994 when she first saw “Today” by the Smashing Pumpkins. For her Bachelor’s thesis, Kaina created a production manual for music videos and directed the video “Rueda” by Jinkobiloba, which was nominated for a 2007 Latin-American VIART award. Dominguez went on to win awards and nominations for other videos, such as “Sick Muse”, where she worked with the stop motion technique Light Painting or Light Motion, as well as “El Reloj” by Jóvenes y Sexys. In mid-2011, Kaina moved to New York City to continue her career as a video director. www.kainadominguez.com
