This video was inspired by a small community centre near a previous work of mine. We’d regularly hear (every Thursday) majestic karaoke sounds coming through the walls. Later we found out that these talented people were in fact seniors in their 70s and 80s, with voices like angels. 90% of our cast did not speak english and simply turned up to play mahjong.

Samuel Bright is a Music Video Director from Sydney, Australia. After graduating with a Bachelor of Electronic Arts, he then began developing his technical ability by working at a variety of post-production companies. Samuel approaches his filmmaking process much like the way an artist will strive to create timeless a body of work. Each video has it’s own story.
