Since You’ve Been Gone
Stray
’Since You’ve Been Gone’ by London producer Stray is a simple visual metaphor of wanting to escape the world that seems to entrap you. What originated as a song about heartbreak evolved into a much more distinct feeling of simply wanting to depart this world. The video also visualizes my own feelings about London as a city, definitely imperfect on so many levels. The idea of climbing nowhere to find peace only to end up in the place where we started is a very familiar feeling to a lot of people and seemed like the only proper ending. It’s not a pessimistic finale as its meant to encourage facing your problems and not trying to escape them.
