St. James Infirmary
JONES
A century of popular music and animation is explored in this music video that manipulates 85-year-old animation to draw parallels to a song recorded thousands of times. Featuring beautifully drawn new animation by artist Martinez EB, director Nick Rush composites Max Fleischer’s 1933 Betty Boop in Snow White (in which a rotoscoped Cab Calloway sings St. James Infirmary Blues as Koko the Clown) with new elements in homage to what many consider one of the greatest animations of all time.
