Naren Wilks
Director
Naren is an award-winning filmmaker and artist who uses film, video, photography and interactive installation to explore an obsession with rotational symmetry. Over the last 4 years he has pioneered an image-making technique which he terms a 'composited camera', involving the recording of live-action from the combined perspective of multiple cameras to create a mind-bending kaleidoscopic vision. His films and music videos have picked up awards at film festivals all over the world, and his hugely popular interactive installation Collide-O-Scope LIVE, was enjoyed by thousands of visitors to The Public gallery in West Bromwich. In 2013 he created Fear&Delight, a music video for The Correspondents, which has been his most ambitious project to date. It won the overall prize at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2014, and continues its viral spread across the internet. He was born in Yeovil in 1985 and lives in Bristol.
